Carpe Diem Haiku No. 882 beneath the stars of the deep north: low tide crossing, July

Morning at the ford
The water retains calmness
The mountains so close

Naughty mosquitos
They never sleep, always bite
There goes the morning

After the ice melt
The ford is too deep to cross
Waiting for the ferry

The breeze is awake
Cooling the heat from the sun
At Hokuriku

No delicacies
At the ferry service shop
But stached in the car
