Carpe Diem No. 871 The Narrow Road continues: for a while; a summer mountain; even woodpeckers

Stony, narrow path
Slippery after the rain
But the rat escapes

Taking my picnic
The waterfall’s soft murmur
Vacation starts now

The night with no moon
Clogs stumbling on the board walk
Silent cat sees all

Down the narrow road
Reaching out for twinkling stars
A happy return

  2. That silent cat was good. A lot in the haiku...and must be worked out!

  3. I like these haiku Lothar, but as Hamish (Forest Gunn) says that silent cat is a beauty very well done.

  4. I was wondering if you ever thought of changing
the layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.

But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people
could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only
having one or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space
    it out better?

    1. Dear Bot,
Haiku are very condensed and not an awful lot of text. Maybe you might consider taking part in the South Korean space out contest.
