Summer moving on

Half-moon on the rise
Village dims light after light
Hearing the hour bell

High summer season
Raining, cold, windy weather
Keeping festivals

You look at the moon
And the moon looks back at you
Brothers in sadness

Lazy afternoon
Watching the snails run by
A drink now and then

Damp air from meadow
Some drops rolling over leaves
But crickets chirp

Late summer blossoms
The rain has scattered a few
Fragrance still charming

Hot summer
Even with the sun hiding
Young bird out of nest
