Haiku Welcoming Early Spring

Some leaves
Autumn and winter have forgotten
Now drifting away

Cold city pond
The ducks swim round after round
Look, love returns!

The snow has melted
The meadow shows little paths
The field mice have used

As snow has melted
And forest breathes again
Woodpecker returned

Sickle of the moon
Thaw has filled the river
An empty coal ship

Remembering Kagemusha (影武者)
           by Akira Kurosawa (黒澤明):

Silence
The daimyo contemplates
Only bees buzzing
