Autumn at the Doorstep

 Fog, reed, and dark lake
Fish jumps out of a sudden
Warm light at the hut

Leaves changing colours
Mushrooms drying on wooden bench
Say goodbye cricket

Noon already gone
Withering chrysanthemum
Dragonfly sails on

World events pass by
The screeching of a door
A spider without a net

Mist covers the grass
Within breakfast is ready
The cat leaves the house

The moon is like a lantern
“I hang from the aspens”
You follow your own way

学不够华语
但不久想去中国
怎么敢说话?
Didn’t study enough Chinese
But will go to China
How will I dare to speak to someone?

Some words aren't familiar enough
To be used in a Haiku
